Doc took part in the World Sports Games Doc Diving competition – a sport that was even named after him.
He had done very well in practice, but failed on the day. We later realised why, he was diagnosed with a spinal tumour. This was probably the first sign of the pain it had been causing him. We know how much he loved the water. He used to love making a splash in our dam.
We really know how much he really, really, really, really, loved the water.
